FAE Ltd., Nigeria’s first and leading envelope manufacturer, said the company has positioned itself to be a leading envelope exporter to the rest of Africa, from Nigeria
Based on the newly signed African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), which opens up intra-African market, FAE planned to take the advantage of the African market openings to reach the rest of Africa.
Speaking on the development, Princess Layo Okeowo, managing director/CEO, FAE Ltd., said the company realised in earnest the great advantages contained therein in AfCFTA.
“Our lofty desire and strategic business plan is to see FAE Envelopes beyond the shores of Nigeria and West Africa,” she said.
Contributing to the economy, Okeowo added that such enterprise would contribute significantly to the nation’s foreign exchange earnings.
According to her, open up African market for Africans to freely trade among themselves was one of the biggest things that would happen to African continent.
Already, the company has made a remarkable footprint in some neigbhouring African countries. On signing AfCFTA, the company moved swiftly to reposition itself in order to take every advantage AfCFTA brings by which the company would reach the rest of the continent.
“At FAE Ltd., we have thoroughly thought this through and repositioned our operations to serve Africa and Africans with our quality range of products,” she revealed.
Okeowo charged countries in Africa to collaborate on the success and vision of the AfCFTA because doing so would unify Africa as a single market with a GDP of over $2.5 trillion.
“This will result in profitable trade partnership and linkages, food security and infrastructural development,” she said optimistically.
She therefore appealed to African countries to patronise FAE Envelopes as the products are carefully made in Nigeria by Africans and for Africans.
Over 50 years ago, Mrs. Funlayo Adebo started FAE Limited as a small business trading in stationeries and office equipment, with the name Funlayo Adebo Enterprises (FAE).
Banking on the wealth of experience gained from various endeavours over the years and the strong desire to create more value, Funlayo Adebo Enterprises decided to venture into manufacturing of envelopes, which has metaphorsied to FAE Limited.
Over the years, FAE Ltd. has witnessed tremendous growth to becoming the first and leading manufacturer of envelopes in Nigeria.
